PRESS RELEASE

For my Writing for Communication course, we were told to create a press release for a fictional event or newsworthy story. In this release, you'll read about the actress, Reese Witherspoon, taking on the role as Co-Chair of a humanitarian organization.

MEDIA ADVISORY

Similar to the press release about Witherspoon, this is a fictional media advisory created for my Writing for Communication course. It outlines a 5K race at American University for Youth Leadership Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Washington D.C.

OPINION PIECE

Before the 2018 midterm election, I wrote an opinion piece for the Star Tribune, a Minnesota based newspaper, detailing the importance of voting. Though the story was not published, the Opinion Editor of the Star Tribune personally reached out and commended me for the piece.

STRATEGIC PLAN - SESAME STREET

For my final project for my PR Case Studies course, we had to create a case study for a potential company we'd like to work for. I chose Sesame Street and created a strategic plan that could allow them to build their audience demographic.

FILM PAPER - BLACK PANTHER (2018)

This informational essay about "Black Panther" analyzes why the monumental superhero movie had such a universal impact on its viewers, especially its black viewers, like myself.
